Valentino x Goop

Today I have news of a REALLY COOL collaboration - Valentino and Gwyneth Paltrow's website, GOOP. Inspired by Wonder Woman, the collection includes 25 extremely limited pieces (and quite pricey) which are all adorned with stars. Paltrow said of the collection to the New York Times, “To me, it’s a fantastic and resonant idea because everybody is working, having kids, trying not to miss a soccer game while at the same time being on a conference call. The modern woman is a wonder woman.”

The collection will be sold at the Goop pop up store in New York City. Luckily for us fashionistas living in the UAE who don't want to miss out on the action, Goop.com is selling a few items but hurry because the collection is selling fast!

Gift in a Jar is a relatively new concept that grew out of two women's passion for creative gifts, Dalia and Caroline. This past Mother's Day, Dalia gifted moms manicure sets in jars and when she saw their reaction, realized the full potential of what it could become.

Moxilicious Moccasins

Since I started including children's fashion in My Small Obsessions, I have been pleasantly surprised to discover that there are many cute brands that are produced right here in the U.A.E. One such brand is MOXILICIOUS - an absolutely adorable concept store that sells moccasins for babies and young toddlers ranging from 3 months to 24 months. The leather is imported from Italy, and is non toxic and metal free. Perfect for our kids that love to put everything in their mouths! 

The moccasins are soft and breathable and super comfy for little feet. They are very trendy and the best part? They stay on children's feet and don't fall off easily! I'm definitely investing in a pair :)

Gucci Backpacks & Satchels

This morning I discovered the GUCCI Kids Back to School selection with the most beautiful backpacks and satchels. They are made of real leather, have fabulous designs and come in a variety of colours for both girls and boys. Unfortunately, they are super expensive (as is to be expected from GUCCI), but super cool as well! I would be way too afraid of sending my kid off to school or nursery with these cute bags, but was thinking that they would work well as backpacks for us moms to carry their stuff inside. Denim Gone Wild!

This season, denim has gone WILD! It is frayed, ripped, zippered, patch worked, and sequinned. It is not only on jeans - but dresses, tops, skirts, accessories. Everything! The nice thing about denim is that you can wear it anywhere and anyhow. It works for dressing down as well as for dressing up. Here are a few of my favourite picks from Fall/Winter 2015. The Polish brand POCA & POCA has always been synonymous with super frilly, super girly and super unique clothing. For Autumn/ Winter 2015, they have brought us a very cute line for mothers and daughters. If I had a daughter, we would be running around in these matching outfits ALL day! :)

Children's Stationary

One major addition to my life since my son has arrived are the endless Birthday Parties that we now attend! It seems that every weekend there is at least one child who has a birthday. This means constantly shopping for kids gifts, wrapping paper and gift cards. 

For my son's one year birthday earlier this year, a few of the gifts that we received had personalized gift cards. I found them such a cute idea to help  those gifts stand out from the rest.

Remember when we used to play with our Barbies, dress them up, style their hair and pretend we were dating hunky Ken? They belonged in a pretend world that brought smiles to our faces and endless imagination. Did you ever wish you WERE Barbie? Well this season, Sophia Webster has brought us a collection that will put us in Barbie's shoes. Literally!

I never realized that until now Barbie ONLY ever wore heels or wedges! Talk about high maintenance. Her creator Mattel has decided that this Fall Barbie will finally join our more laid back generation and own a pair of flats.
