The blue carpet entrance to the store at the Beirut Souks |
Eagerly anticipating the limited edition pieces by
Anna Dello Russo for H & M, I
arrived to Beirut late last night and woke up at the crack of dawn to make it to the event. I have to say, this was the NICEST collaboration collection H&M has had so far. All of the items were beautifully packaged in white or blue boxes with gold tassels and tags and the displays made me want to buy everything in sight! I was also pleasantly surprised that everything was nicer in reality than the preview pictures we saw of this collection.

Everything was sold in a gold or white box with Anna's gold logo.
It was SUPER FUN opening each box to see what goodies I might find inside! |
|
Each item was beautifully arranged in its own box with a gold tassle handle |
|
Each stand of boxes had a beautiful display of a mannequin in a glass case on top, showcasing all of the items in that line |
|
The suitcases had beautiful gold and white interiors and lots of compartments

Having some fun!!

Utter chaos! |

How cute is this little fashionista? She refused to remove the bracelet! |
I discovered that Beirut is TRULY the place to be for such events:
- There was a blue carpet leading into the store with papparazi-like photographers snapping the shoppers and their excitement at viewing the collection.
- There was blaring music (mostly Anna's song she created for the promotion of this line) and the sales people were clapping, dancing, and hooting in the store. They encouraged us to open the boxes, try on the funky jewellery and headpieces and even offered to take our pictures!
Despite the chaos of many fashionistas fighting to get their hands on a part of this collection and the mess from boxes thrown all over the place, everyone was happy and laughing. This was one of the most fun fashion events I have ever been to!
Did you go to the H& M event yesterday? What did you think of it?
(H&M Beirut is located at the Beirut Souks and at ABC Shopping Mall)
