This morning I discovered the GUCCI Kids Back to School selection with the most beautiful backpacks and satchels. They are made of real leather, have fabulous designs and come in a variety of colours for both girls and boys. Unfortunately, they are super expensive (as is to be expected from GUCCI), but super cool as well! I would be way too afraid of sending my kid off to school or nursery with these cute bags, but was thinking that they would work well as backpacks for us moms to carry their stuff inside. Check them out below :)

Review: Gold Facial at the Kaya Skin Care Clinic
Have you ever had a gold facial? I'm talking 24K gold serums, creams and masks applied to your face in the most decadent manner so that you literally GLOW from the inside out. Apparently, gold can repair sun damage, lighten complexion, improve blood circulation and accelerate cell renewal. It is not just pretty to wear!
A few days ago, I tried out the GOLD RADIANCE facial at Kaya Skin Care Clinic and was quite impressed by the results.
The products used in the facial are all by ORO GOLD
First, my face was cleansed and then lightly exfoliated using a microdermabrasion machine. My therapist then removed blackheads using an extractor but with no steam (ouch!). A 24K Vitamin C Booster Serum was then massaged into to my face followed by a heavenly facial and eye massage using 24k creams. Finally, a 24k gold and collagen mask was applied to my face. This was meant to infuse my skin with the energizing and antioxidant properties of gold to enhance my youth and elasticity of my skin.
The end result? Super smooth and clearer skin for days afterwards.
I have been glowing ever since!
About the KAYA SKIN CARE CLINIC
The branch I visited at Abu Dhabi Mall has a very 'clinical' feel
with its corridor of treatment rooms which are very basic, clean and plain
Kaya Skin Care Clinic is the largest chain of skincare clinics in the Middle East. They have 19 branches across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The best part about them? They are mostly located in convenient locations like shopping malls with tons of parking. Each client is considered unique and receives customized treatment. You first meet with a dermatologist to decide on the best course of treatment for your concern before booking any of their services. Then trained therapists take over to give you the best possible results.
Have you ever tried a 24K gold facial?

Denim Gone Wild!
This season, denim has gone WILD! It is frayed, ripped, zippered, patch worked, and sequinned. It is not only on jeans - but dresses, tops, skirts, accessories. Everything! The nice thing about denim is that you can wear it anywhere and anyhow. It works for dressing down as well as for dressing up. Here are a few of my favourite picks from Fall/Winter 2015. There were SO MANY options that I liked - finalizing my choices for this post was very hard :)
I'm Obsessed with these jeans - they tick two major denim trends this season:
patchwork and the boyfriend cut
How do you like to wear your denim??

Sweet Potato, Pear, Broccoli & Quinoa
Ever since I started weaning my son at 5 months, the person that I have looked to for recipes has been Annabel Karmel. Her food is all healthy, all fresh and really yummy. Here is a recipe that sounds weird but is actually super nutritious! It will get your child eating their broccoli with no fuss and I added quinoa to it for extra protein. My son loved it :)

Children's Stationary
One major addition to my life since my son has arrived are the endless Birthday Parties that we now attend! It seems that every weekend there is at least one child who has a birthday. This means constantly shopping for kids gifts, wrapping paper and gift cards.
For my son's one year birthday earlier this year, a few of the gifts that we received had personalized gift cards. I found them such a cute idea to help those gifts stand out from the rest.
I decided to make sets of cards for my son and discovered a website in the U.S. called MINTED. They have over 300 super cute designs to choose from and are printed on beautiful quality paper.
Here are a few of my favourite picks
All of the designs can be personalized, come in different colour options, have matching envelopes & are printed on extra thick cotton card stock
Would you make a set for your kids?

Mommy Support Groups
Last week, I saw an old friend at the supermarket. She was pushing around a beautiful, cheerful 7 month old baby boy in his stroller and looked the picture of a put - together, happy mom. The first thing she told me however was, "It's SO hard! - I'm so tired!!". And I said, "I know- and the problem is that even if you rest tonight it's the same thing tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that!"
Being a parent is not only a full time job. It's a never ending, all-consuming job that goes on day after day. There is no OFF button. You can never quit! While it has its perks, it is the most difficult thing that you will ever do! It isn't the picture that is painted for us in movies and by celebrities that bounce back with stunning figures and big smiles merely weeks after giving birth.
In my experience, what helps me through the difficult times are Mommy Support Groups made of regular, everyday moms who are going through all the same things that I go through. They make me feel not so alone and hopeless. Especially during that first year where you really have NO CLUE.
Poop, Sleep & Tears is a group of moms on Facebook made up of pregnant women, new moms and veteran moms. It gives an insight into the actual reality of what things look like from the inside.
The Group's name is genius in my opinion! It explains the first year of having a baby in a nutshell. Lots of poop, no sleep and tons of tears - both by the baby AND the parents! The group is made up of real moms who struggle with the everyday problems of having kids. It is mainly a board where they can post their questions and concerns and I am super impressed by the responses that they get. Everyone wants to share their valuable experience and knowledge.
Here you can find helpful answers to topics like where to find a baby sitter, what to feed your babies and toddlers who refuse to eat, what kinds of bottles are the best, etc.
Are there any online Mommy Support Groups that you love??
